ABOUT S.T.E.M. Overnight Field Trips

AA offers three overnight STEM trips that provide students with the opportunity to explore unique environments while being introduced to a variety of STEM fields. These experiences also foster personal, social, and emotional growth. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, gaining a deeper understanding of complex concepts. These trips provide a rich context for learning, both inside and outside the classroom. Over the past decade, more than 3,500 AA middle school students have experienced a "classroom without walls," building lasting relationships and creating lifelong memories.

My name is Chris Todd, and I am the STEM Trip Coordinator at American Academy. I've been with American Academy since 2005, starting as a first grade team lead at the Castle Pines campus. When the Motsenbocker campus opened in 2013, I joined the STEM department, teaching engineering and robotics to pre-K through 5th grade. A few years ago, I transitioned into my current role where I now focus exclusively on overseeing STEM trips. I'm thrilled to share these incredible opportunities with you and your family, and look forward to partnering with you to make these experiences unforgettable.
