Students wanting to take S.T.E.M. study and skills further at American Academy may choose to participate in our extracurricular Engineering Certificate Program.
To graduate with an Engineering Certificate, students must complete at least four S.T.E.M. or engineering extracurricular activities one from each of four areas of discipline -- robotics, building, design, and programming -- as well as an independently-researched and independently-constructed capstone project in eighth grade.
Since its inception in 2018, American Academy has awarded 27 Engineering Certificates (11 at Castle Pines, 14 at Motsenbocker and 2 at Lincoln Meadows).
