Students in grades 5-8 are invited to participate in a number of overnight trip opportunities. The trips vary in subject matter but all are planned and chaperoned by full-time American Academy staff and aligned with American Academy curriculum.
All overnight field trips are entirely OPTIONAL; no student is ever required to attend any overnight field trip. Please connect with the trip organizer to learn about the alternate academic plans in place for students not attending the trips.
It is strongly recommended and occasionally required that parents attend a trip information meeting prior to registering students for an overnight trip. All overnight field trip registrations will take place on the American Academy
School Store. Trip organizers will post trip information meetings on the American Academy website event calendar, and notify interested parents when registration for a trip opens.
