Infinite Campus FAQ

Q: How do I set up my Infinite Campus parent portal account for the first time?
A: You will need the DCSD (dcsdk12.org) email, sent in July, with your GUID in order to set up your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. The GUID is a unique 32-digit code number sent to each parent/guardian by Infinite Campus when a student is enrolled in DCSD for the first time. The GUID is sent to you from DCSD in an email with instructions on how to set up your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. If you have not received this email, please first check your junk email folder at the email address you gave to DCSD when you enrolled your student. If the email is not in your regular email inbox OR your junk email folder, then please submit a request using our Contact an American Academy Registrar form (select 'Infinite Campus Login').
 
Q: What if I already have an Infinite Campus account (username and password) for my DCSD middle or DCSD high school student?
A:  Parent/guardian accounts will display all students connected to the existing account. If you need to change your IC password and/or manage your account, you can do so on the DCSD Password Reset page. If you run into difficulty, please contact the DCSD IT Department by clicking here, or by calling 303-387-0001.
 
Q: What if my email address is missing or incorrect in my Infinite Campus?
A: You must submit a request using our Contact an American Academy Registrar form (select 'Change In: XXX').
 
Q: What if my mailing address or phone numbers are incorrect?
A: Please submit the correct mailing address or phone number information using our Contact an American Academy Registrar form (select 'Change In: XXX').
 
Q: Who do I contact if I need my password reset?
A: If you need to change your IC password and/or manage your account, you can do so on the DCSD Password Reset page. If you run into difficulty, please contact the DCSD IT Department by clicking here, or by calling 303-387-0001.
 
Q: I know my username and password, but I have been locked out of my account.
A: If you have been locked out of your account, please contact the DCSD IT Department by clicking here, or by calling 303-387-0001.For security purposes, your account will be disabled after five unsuccessful login attempts. 
 
Q: When I try to put in my 32-digit code, I get an error message.
A: When entering the code, you may have accidentally entered the letter ("O") instead of the number zero ("0").  Any character in the code that appears to be the letter "O" will only be a number "0".
 
Q: After I put in my 32-digit code (GUID), I typed in my username and password, then a message came up that said this username already exists.
A: Select another username and try again. There cannot be two users with the same username in the system. Remember usernames and passwords are case sensitive.
 
Q: How do I request access to Infinite Campus?
A: All new parents are automatically given an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account; an email is sent by DCSD to each parent/guardian in July. Check the junk mail folder for each email account you gave as a contact during enrollment. If you are new to the district and cannot find that email from DCSD, please please submit a request using our Contact an American Academy Registrar form (select 'Infinite Campus Login').
 
Q: Can I access my Infinite Campus account from a computer other than my home computer?
A: Yes. Infinite Campus is a cloud-based student information system, and your account may be accessed from any computer or device. For security purposes, when using Infinite Campus on a public computer, always be certain to log out and close the browser when you are finished.
 
Q: When I enter my login information and hit Submit, I get a "Page not found" error message. What do I do?
A: Your browser settings for privacy and security are likely set too high. Check your browser settings to adjust your security and privacy settings.
 
Q: How do I access my student's online report card in Infinite Campus?
  1. Log in to your Infinite Campus parent account
  2. Under your student’s name, click on Documents
  3. Select the REPORT CARD report appropriate for your student’s campus/grade to view
  4. Print for your records
Please note that parents will only have access to student grades through June 29 of the school year. Parents cannot access grades from previous years. If you need to access grade reports from previous years, please please submit a request using our Contact an American Academy Registrar form (select 'Records Request').

Q: How do I look at the grades for a specific assignment?
  1. Log in to Infinite Campus.
  2. At the top of the page, select the student's name from the drop-down menu.
  3. From the left navigation menu, select Schedule.
  4. Select the name of the class you'd like to view. This will take you to a page that shows the scores achieved in the class, organized by trimester.
Q: I don’t get a report when I go to print a report.
A: Make sure that you have the most current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, and that you have allowed popups (in your browser settings) from the DCSD website.
 
Q: Why are the available Infinite Campus options different for different schools?
A: Each school decides what options will be available on Infinite Campus for parents.
