I have lived in the beautiful state of Colorado for over 25 years. I graduated from the University of Colorado (Boulder), with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Minor in Business. I worked in sales management for five years, but my passion for working with kids drove me to go back to school to get my Master’s in Education. I have two sweet boys, Noah and Brady, who keep me on my toes at all times. On the weekends, our family enjoys hiking, swimming, and camping, though that slows down once the Broncos season starts. I love to run, so I always try to squeeze that in as well.

I have called Colorado my home since moving here with my family when I was 6 years old, and I am still amazed by the beautiful mountain views! I ventured out-of-state for college and received my dual degree from Vanderbilt University in Elementary Education and Child Studies. I am passionate about helping children grow and learn and become curious, life-long learners. In addition to teaching, I love reading, baking, crafting, and spending time with my family and friends. I am also an avid sports fan and enjoy cheering on my alma mater, the Rockies, the Avs, and the Broncos.

I am a Colorado native and can’t imagine living anywhere else! I grew up north of Denver and now live in Parker with my husband and two sons. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, and a teaching degree with a Masters of Literacy from the University of Colorado at Denver. I have taught second grade for twelve years in the Adams County 14 and Douglas County School Districts. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family hiking and being outdoors whenever possible. I also enjoy playing tennis, being crafty, completing DIY projects around the house, and listening to music (anything that keeps me busy).I feel fortunate to be at American Academy working with students in a smaller group setting in order to help them achieve their academic goals!

My love for this school began four years ago when my children were welcomed into American Academy. I am thrilled to be teaching second and third grade this year! I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University (GO RAMS!). My own love of learning continues while I pursue my Master’s degree. As a Colorado native I have always enjoyed the outdoors, skiing, camping and of course the Broncos!

I have grown up in Colorado for most of my life. I attended Regis Jesuit High School and headed off to Omaha, Nebraska for college at Creighton University where I majored in Elementary Education. I taught first grade for two years in Omaha before heading back to Colorado to teach here at AA. Excited to begin my third year at AA.
