Sarah Anderson
Fourth Grade Instructor, Castle Pines
I have lived in Colorado since I was 6 years old, and I love the seasons and mountains. I can't imagine that I will ever leave! Growing up, I always knew I would be a teacher one day. I am blessed to say that teaching at AA allows me to do what I truly love. I attended Metro State College of Denver and got my teaching license in 2007 as well as a degree in Behavioral Science. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, playing outside, and watching movies.

I was born and raised in Colorado, and received my Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Colorado (Colorado Springs) and my Master’s degree in teaching from the University of Northern Colorado. I love going to the mountains, spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching Rockies baseball, and playing with my dog, Tally.
Shannen Johnson
Fourth Grade Science Instructor, Castle Pines
I was born in Kirkaldy, Scotland, before moving to Golden, Colorado, where I was raised until I decided to attend the University of Denver for my undergraduate degree. Upon completion I chose to stay at DU and complete my M.A. in curriculum and instruction so I could pursue the career of teaching! Outside of the classroom, I love to watch and play any sport, particularly soccer, and partake in anything outdoorsy such as hiking, fishing and boating. When winter hits, I become an avid snowboarder and can always be found on the mountain.
Anna Sampson
Fourth Grade Instructor, Castle Pines
I attended the University of Northern Colorado where I earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I have taught at both the elementary and sixth grade levels. I enjoy reading, hiking, horseback riding, playing with my dog, Paisley, and traveling, but my main passion is teaching. My favorite part of teaching is determining each child’s needs and working to meet those needs. I love helping children reach their full potential, creating a positive classroom experience, and building confident learners!
