Please help your child log-on to spelling city for one of their spelling practice activities each week. I look forward to seeing how Spelling City improves our test scores. Your student's log in is the same as their school log in.

McKitterick's Literacy Class (posted by Melissa McKitterick; 05/08/17)
Welcome to Ms. McKitterick's Literacy Class
I am excited to be your child's literacy teacher this year. Please refer to my Literacy Expectations located on the left side of this webpage for additional information about second grade literacy. I can't wait to help your child blossom in to a strong, motivated reader and writer.
Fluency Homework
Your child will receive a new fluency packet on Monday. Please refer to the directions on how to complete these packets. Fluency homework will be due the following Monday. Your child could be restating the question and writing a complete sentence for each comprehension question.
Phonograms- May 8-12
This week we will be reviewing the first 70 phonograms. Please use your flashcards to practice these at home. Our final phonogram quiz will be next week on Friday, May 19th.
I-Station Homework
Please start having your student log on to I-Station once a week for 20 minutes. They will be completing activities under the "Reading with ISIP" section. This can replace reading for 20 minutes that night.
