Prep Choir
The Preparatory Choir schedule is slightly different this year. Rehearsals are from 4:45-5:15 (instead of 5:30, as it was last year). These students are expected to sing with BOTH Rebel Singers and Prep Choir, therefore rehearsing from 4:00-5:15pm. This intermediate choir rehearses at CP on Tuesdays and PKR on Thursdays.

"The Rules of Comedy"
This fall will be our inaugural fall play! For students who love to act but feel self-conscious about singing in front of an audience. This is a great opportunity for students to try out their first show in a low-pressure, low-commitment environment. The cast for this production will be cross-campus and meets at alternating campuses each week. Rehearsals are Tuesdays evenings from 6-8pm.

National Junior Thespians
National Junior Thespians will meet on Mondays during lunch/recess. This club is completely free! Students MUST be enrolled on the School Store in order to attend meetings (this is a safety precaution so we know where students are when they are missing from lunch/recess).

Welcome to Ms. Pearo's Music Class! (posted by Amanda Pearo; 10/26/16)
Welcome! My name is Ms. Pearo and I am a teacher in the performing arts department of American Academy. I am very excited to work with your middle school students to cultivate musical curiosity and independent, lifelong musicians. AA students will also participate in an assortment of theatrical activities which will help them to build social skills and gain self-confidence. Check my page often to stay updated on our classroom activities!
Check out Six Degrees of Music Separation to see how two artists are musically related.
Six Degrees of Separation
"I love to hear a choir. I love the humanity -- to see the faces of real people devoting themselves to a piece of music. I like the teamwork. It makes me feel optimistic about the human race when I see them cooperating like that." -Sir Paul McCartney
